About Me

From startups to national foundations, I have built digital products across various sectors, including tech, finance, and education. My friends would say that I am someone who turns napkin ideas into real products that people use and love.

I was born in the city of Xi'an (西安), famously known for the Terracotta Warriors. Home to 12 million people, Xi'an is the 10th largest city in China. Fun fact: as the capital of 13 different dynasties, the city's historical name literally means "Perpetual Peace".

Joy is how I would describe my upbringing. I owe my imagination and social skills to China's one-child policy in the 90s. I learned to quickly make friends and find joy in the small things. Above: me running like I stole that balloon from a Chinese wedding. To this day, no one knows where that balloon came from.

In 1995, my mom and I moved from China to the United Kingdom where my dad was pursing his PhD. Aboard my KLM flight packed with blonde giants, I experienced my first touchless faucet. This was my earliest memory of Western technology. It filled my heart with the promise of the new and unknown.
